Culture Vulture is a track heavily inspired by the life and music of David Bowie.
The track has been re -recorded and re - written using techniques used by Bowie in the studio.
The song was written on the same day that Bowie died.
As a response to the his most recent album at the time "Blackstar" I had bought just a few days prior to his death. The song is a nod to his life, although the song does not specifically mention David Bowie in the lyrics the production and studio recording techniques used by Bowie in his early career were emulated into the track and style of David Bowie.
lyrics
Don't mistake the real world with your own,
there's a crossroad in the distance,
separating foolish men and a sinner,
who's the victim.
We have to learn, before they turn against us.
We're all over now.
Seems like I just pray against their,
philosophical lies.
How do you sleep.
Culture Vulture you're in my head,
you better get out,
before they shoot you dead.
Culture Vulture you're smart and clean,
cooperate and treat me mean.
You're supreme, your best friends a monster.
Take your pill for what you will.
Transform your mind for you to kill.
Fascist world now your the queen.
You don't know what I mean.
Blank faces on the scene,
you can make it all worth while,
if you know what I mean.
You're supreme, your best friends a monster.
You're supreme.
Culture Vulture you're in my head,
you better get out,
before you shoot me dead.
Culture Vulture you're smart and clean,
cooperate and treat me mean.
You're supreme, your best friends a monster.
Take your pill for what you will.
Transform your mind for you to kill.
Fascist world now your the queen.
You don't know what I mean.
Blank faces on the scene,
you can make it all worth while,
if you know what I mean.
